Greaves

My pretties have been painted! They just need a coat of varnish and then they will be completely finished.

I started with a base coat of black. Then added the violet colour, the violet shade was incredibly dark and I actually had to lighten it with white. The edges are the original violet colour that I added for definition.

The silver detail was first painted a mottled grey/white/black (it was done intentionally uneven, some area was more black than grey) because of how opaque my silver was.
The silver was then dabbed, not painted on. Dabbing gave it a more metal look- it's slightly uneven and almost looks as though its made from hammered metal, which I really like.
